Abstract


he current study was conducted in four PHC centers in NEW CAIRO district and included 170 physicians, to determine the level of job satisfaction of PHC physicians and to assess the potential factors affecting their job satisfaction, also, to measure the work related affective wellbeing among them and to correlate between the work related affective wellbeing and job satisfaction among a sample of primary health care physicians.
Two interview questionnaires (translated into Arabic) were used; Job satisfaction survey (JSS) to assess the level of job satisfaction of PHC physicians and a Job-related affective well-being scale (JAWS) to measure the work related affective wellbeing.
Also, questions asking about socio-demographic characteristics as age, sex, marital status, income, level of qualification and residence to assess the potential factors affecting their job satisfaction and work related affective wellbeing.
Results of the current study revealed that the highest number of the study sample was aging 25 to 30 year
