Abstract


The Research studies the utopian architectural notions, specially the 20th century trials, and their reflections on living architecture and futuristic cities.
Chapter one introduces the study and provides research outline, research objectives, and methodology.
Chapter two illustrates the birth of utopia and idealism, through philosophy and literature, through reviewing pre-20th century historical trials, and linking the utopic notion with architecture and the city planning.
Chapter three highlights & reviews the evolution of utopia in architecture in the 20th century through examining important trials
Chapter four and five reviews and analyse selected diverse study cases of the 20th century architectural utopia and then reviews the time line and important parameters and catalysts that induced utopia in architecture.
Chapter six presents conclusion and further research recommendations.
