NUTRITIVE VALUE OF POULTRY LITTER AS A PROTEIN SUBSTITUTE IN SHEEP RATIONS

Abstract


This study was carried out in Animal Production Department Faculty of

Agriculture, AI-Azhar University.

The main objective of this work is to study the effect of two different sources with two different levels of poultry litter being broiler and layer litter in complete rations fed to sheep an their fattening performance. The nutritive value, of source qand level of litter rumen function, blood parameters and animal performance were estimated.
Dried poultry litters were incorporated in diets to replace 25 or 50% of

the ration TP from both sources.
