Abstract


This study addresses a new issue in the field of political science, particularly studies concerned with foreign policy issues. The main aim of the study is to underline the impact of Petroleum on The Orientations of American foreign policy towards Africa After 11th September 2001 events "A case study of: Sudan" through highlighting the various dimensions for this policy, which determine the most important factors affected in it. And study the status of African Petroleum in the American strategy, the study also analysis the interaction between the internal determents for United States, the important of which is represented in the American oil interest groups, regional determents which is that the policy of the United States in Gulf of Guinea and its policy towards the regional arrangements in Horn of Africa, foreign determents, which is that 11th September 2001 events and its reflections on the national energy policy for United States and the World energy security, and the process of making and managing American foreign Policy. This is done through analysis of the impact of Petroleum on The Orientations of American foreign policy towards Africa and Sudan through the diplomatic methods, the economic methods, and the military methods, in order to analysis the variables affects continuity and change in American foreign policy towards Africa and Sudan
