Abstract
This investigation includes ecological, •:co- physiological, phytochemical and •biological studies on Cleome africona Botsch. It aimed to clarify the rang..: of environmental conditions within which the plant can g. ow and adapt itself to the main communities and the reflec1ion of these environmental conditions on the chem :cal constituents of the plant, which was collected from two different habitats. In addition to the previous studf a preliminary biological study was done which aime<: to clarify the pharmacognostical importance of the plant.
