So, 'any pairiful procedure must be performed' under analgesia or anesthesia. Any surgical intervention in the neonatal period are usually due to diseases that need urgent intervention. These diseases are usually congenital and usually affect the respiratory system, gastrointestinal system or central nervous system.

In this research, only the respiratory surgical emergencies I have been discussed. Respiratory surgical emergencies in the

newborn are a group of congenital disorders that interfere with the normal respiratory process and unless urgently corrected, the newborn dies. There are several congenital .anomalies interfering with normal respiration, the commonest of which are the following:-
