Novel Natural Dyes for Proteinic Fabrics

Abstract
This original work aims at dyeing of proteinic fabrics (wool and natural silk) using novel natural dyes, namely anthocyanins and betacyanins, either supplied commercially (as a blank) or extracted from unconventional sources of plant kingdom i.e. flowers of pelargonium (Pelargonium grandiflorum), skin of pomegranate (Punica granatum), flowers of euphorbia (Euphorbia pulcherrima), skin of radish (Raphanus salivus), flowers of bougainivillea (Bougainivillea glabra) and skin of beet (Beta vulgaris).
