Ayman Nihad Moharram;

Abstract

This study illustrates a number of important facts, including the marked increase in implantation rate which is a reflection of the significant increase in referrals to the Critical Care Department, and the profound shift to more physiological and sophisticated pacemakers as a product of the increase awareness of haemodynamic benefits and the better quality of life with those pacemakers. Lastly, the decrease in operator dependant complications reflects the experience ofthe Critical Care pacing team.
