Abstract
Acute respiratory failure remains a major cause of morbidity and mortality in the intensive care unit providing best possible patient care is the most important goal of any health care facility. In assessing the patient, the nurse evaluates the patient’s physiologic status and how the patient is coping with mechanical ventilation. The nurse should assess the patient’s comfort level and ability to communicate as well moreover, there are many factors affect on nurses work.
Aim of the study:
The study aims to assess factors affecting nurses' performance for patients with acute respiratory failure on mechanical ventilator through the following:
1-Assess nurses' performance (level of knowledge, practice, and attitude) regarding patients with acute respiratory failure on mechanical ventilator.
2-Identify the factors affecting nurses' performance for patients with acute respiratory failure
