ANALYTICAL STUDY ON SOME ANTHELMINTIC DRUGS
Dina Abbas Ahmed Mostafa;
Abstract
The thesis comprises five parts including the introduction, literature review, experimental work, in addition to the references and an arabic summary.
Part I: Introduction
This part involves a general introduction on the chemistry of anthelmintics, mechanism of action, structure and their physicochemical characters.
Part II: Literature review
This part includes a brief review of the different methods reported in the literatures for the determination of Albendazole, Mebendazole and Praziquantel as representative examples of anthelmintics in pure forms, pharmaceutical dosage formulations and biological fluids.
Part III: Stability- indicating assay using Spectrophotometric method:
This part comprises four sections:
Section 1: Stability - indicating assay of Albendazole in presence of its alkaline degradate using second Derivative Spectrophotometric method
This section involves stability-indicating assay for determination of Albendazole in presence of its alkaline degradate, based on the use of second derivative spectrophotometric method
A linear correlation was obtained in a concentration range (2.00-20.00 µg.ml-1) for (D2) derivative in presence of the alkaline degradate and the peak amplitude was measured at 245.4 nm.
Section 2: Stability- indicating assay using Difference
