Dermal Dendrocyte: An Ultrastructural Study
Khaled M. Abdel RaoufEI Zawahry;
Abstract
Dermal dendrocytes are a newly recognized cell type in the human dermis, that is belongs to the dendritic cell family, that is present in ly1uphoid tissue, blood and connective tissue, including cutaneous cells with dendritic morphology in epidermal layer as Langerhans cell and melanocyte, as well as cells detected in the dermis as dermal dendrocyte.
The term dermal dendrocytes was first employed by
Headington, 1986, to describe as poly-dendritic cells in human dermis previously as bipolar dermal fibroblast.
Dermal dendrocytes are concentrated in three dermal strata; he first directly beneath the dermal -epidermal junction (subepidermal dendrocytes {SED}), and the second about superficial dermal venules (perivascular dendroc.vtes {Pf-D)), and the third presented diffusely within the deeper dermis (reticular dermal dendrocytes {RDD)J.
