Abstract
Pneumonia affects cardiac function through invasion of microorganisms, toxic effect and hypoxia causing myocarditis, also causing pulmonary hypertension in severe cases pneumonia.
The aim of this study was to evaluate global LV and RV systolic and diastolic functions and also detection of pulmonary artery systolic pressure in cases of pneumonia using conventional echocardiography and pulsed wave DTI.
