Showed that 119 cases were positive to genital tract o.lffections with a prevalence of39.66% (77 sheep, 40.52% and 42 goats, 38.18%) during period 1998- 2000.

The bacteriological examination of sheep and goats genitalia revealed the isolation of Brucella melitensis (27.73%); Enterobacter aerogenes (17.64%); Escherichia coli (15.96%); Shigella species (14.28%); Yersinia enterocolitis (10.92%) and gram positive Staphylococcus auerous (13.44%) the bacteria were isolated either in single and/or mixed infection.

A significant decease in the erythrocytes in case of Shigella species infection and non significant decrease in the erythrocytes in case of Yersinia enterocolitica were seen.

The .leukocytic parameters due to either single or mixed infection with bacteria revealed a highly significant increase in the leukocytes in case of Brucella melitensis, Shigella species and Yersinia enterocolitica. A non significant increase in the total leukocytic count in case of Enterobacter aerogenes; Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus auerous was seen.
