Abstract


Rift Valley fever (RVF) is an acute, fever-causing viral disease that affects domestic
animals (such as cattle, buffalo, sheep, goats, and camels) and humans. RVF is most commonly
associated with mosquito-borne epidemics during years of heavy rainfall.
