Abstract


The present study was conducted at the Bee Research Unit, Dept. of Plant Protection, Faculty of Agriculture, Ain Shams University, Shoubra El-kheimah, Al Qalyubia Governorate, and Bee Research Branch in Kanater, Bee Research Division, Institute of Plant Protection, Ministery of Agriculture, Giza, Egypt, during the period from 2013 to 2016.
A) Identification pollen grains of the flowering plants in the area under study and bee bread, was as follow:
1. Surveying and collecting flowering plants in the area under study in an area of 5 km 2, around the apiary of Bee Research Branch, Kanater, Bee Research Division, Institute of Plant Protection, Ministry of Agriculture, Giza, Egypt, during the period from 1/1/2013 to 31/12/2013 and the obtained results indicated that forty six flowering plants belonging to 25 botanical families were collected.
2. Mounting of pollen grains obtained from the flowers of those flowering plants collected from the area under study on glass slides (temporary load in a water drop). Examined microscopically using ordinary light microscope (zoom power eyepiece lens 10х, objective lens 100x),
