Abstract
Title: Histological and physiological studies on flowering and fi•uiting of some peach cultivars under Assiut enviromnent.
This study was conducted on 3 peach cultivars; San Pedro (as an early cv), Y9/J 06 (as a middle season cv.) and Rubidoux (as a late cv.) at the Fruit Crops Orchard and Lab., Assiut Univ., during 1997-2000.
The ob.jectives of this study. were:
a) To study different stages differentiation of flower bud of Sanpedro, Y9/l06 and Rubidoux peach cultivars (early, mid season and late cvs.).
b) To examine the utilization of various models to calculate the number of chill units which are needed to tem1inate the endodormancy, and the number of G.D.H. which are required to bud and fruit development under Assiut conditions. As well as determination the associated endogenous hormone levels in some cultivars.
