ASSESSMENT OF THE NUTRITIONAL STATUS FOR THE WORKERS IN SOME FAYOUM GOVERNORATE FACTORIES

Abstract
This work was carried out on 120 workers chosen randomly from three different factories ofFayoum governorate.
The aim of this study is to:
- Evaluate the dietary intake of factory workers compared to
RDA.
- Determine anthropometric measurement of workers under investigation.
- Assess socioeconomic status of workers as a factor influencing nutrition.
- Study the effect of work status on the nutritional status of workers
- Evaluate the effect of health status on the nutritional status of workers.
- Study hemoglobin and hematocrit as affected by the working factories ofFayoum governorate.
The data were collected from three different types of factories according to different socio-economic levels:
• Coca Cola factory.
• Fayoum cereal mill.
• Ceramic EI-Farana.
Nutritional status of workers was determined, according to dietary intake and compared with RDA, also anthropometric measurements with studied and compared with ideal.
