Abstract
The present investigation was conducted to identifY and eliminate garlic mosaic virus. The identified virus was isolated from naturally infected garlic plants. Biological studies included virus identification, biological relationships between the virus and insect vectors, and the effect of the virus on some characters of infected garlic plants.
Elimination of garlic mosaic virus conducted in vitro throughout tissue culture techniques. Thermotherapy by hot water and hot mr experiments also were carried out as an attempt to eliminate the virus.
The obtained results in this work could be summarized in two parts as follows:
