The present work explains the preparation of some nanometer catalystswhich used in photocatalytic degradation of some important organic pollutants by advanced oxidation process in presence of ultraviolet radiation under wide experimental conditions. The prepared catalysts were characterized using the common techniques such as XRD,SEM and surface texturing (N2 adsorption). The catalytic activities of the characterized catalysts were investigated in the photodegradation ofphenol, hydroquinone, p-chlorophenol,, p-aminophenol and some textile dyes(levafix brilliant red dye, reactive black 5 and reactive orange 96) from the industrial wastewater at different experimental conditions (variation of catalyst doses, pollutant conc., pH, temperature and addition of H2O2). The obtained data gives a proposal about the mechanism of photocatalytic degradation process of the pollutants through some intermediates by using High Performance Liquid chromatography (HPLC).
