Abstract

This research was designed to study the interarch tooth size discrepancies among Egyptians aiming for two things, first to determine the Egyptian standards and compare it with Bolton standards, and secondly to detect the incidence and frequency of tooth size discrepancies among the malocclusion groups. Our sample consisted of 150 subjects equally grouped according to Angle's typification; as Class I, Class II, and Class III. Another group of 50 subjects with acceptable occlusions was taken as a control group. The age range was between
18-30 years .Tooth size analysis were performed on the plaster models ofthese subjects. Mesiodistal tooth size ratios were measured as described by Bolton. We had used a digital caliper with 0.01mm.accuracy.Statistical analysis was performed using, ANOVA, Duncan's Multiple Range Test, t-test, and the Chi square Test.
