We reviewed the subject of treatment of lower cel"Vical spine instabiliD' by anterior instrumentation re_gardin_g anatomy and microanatomy of the lower cervical spine , dassifications and path6lo_gy of 1ower cervical spine injuries , infections , tumors, . oegenerative diseases, ana spinal cord paijlol9_gy secondary to these conditions.
Laboratory and radiogi'aj>hic invesfi_gations,· biopsy tecbniques and various tjpes of anteiior cervical plates were also reviewed.
