The objectives of diabetes management are to eliminate symptoms, prevent acute complications and reduce the risk of long term

Diabetic foot lesions are one of the most serious complications of diabetes melittus. These lesions are caused by peripheral neuropathy, vascular impairment, infection or all combined together. Furthermore, poor diabetic management, patient's knowledge and compliance to foot care, diabetic diet, hypoglycemic agents and walking exercise are considered as predisposing factors to these lesions.
