Abstract
The study area is about 80 km to the south ofEl-Arish city, north-Sinai, Egypt. It is located at longitude between 34° Is- and 34° Is• and between latitude 30° 40• and 30° so•, along Dalfa
mountain. Dalfa mountain has an elliptical shape and oriented in NE-direction. Its length is about I2 km, with an average width of7 km. It belongs to the frontal folds ofthe Cenoman-Turan era. The mountain has anticlinal structure which is mainly built up of cretaceous rocks, including limestone, sandstone, dolomite, marl and shale. It is surrounded by wadis and plains covered by boulders &
