Abstract
In recent years there has been a steady increase in annual incidence of newly diagnosed cases of prostatic carcinoma, probably due to improvement in screening techniques and increased awareness of the disease.
Such clinical observation leads physician to seek pathological putative precursor lesions that could be diagnosed earlier in life. Prostatic intraepithelial neoplasia is considered a preinvasive prostate cancer pathology.
