ROLE OF SERUM PROLACTIN IN DYSFUNCTIONAL UTERINE BLEEDING

Abstract
The present study was conducted at Ain Shams University Maternity Hospital to reveal any relationship between the circulating prolactin level with dysfunctinal uterine bleeding. It included 90 women divided into two groups, the first group "the study group" consisted of 50 women who suffered from D.U.B without organic. cause judeged by history, examination, ultrasongraphy, D & C and laboratory investigation. The second group, "the control group "consisted of
40 women with regular menstrual pattern.
A 5 ml venous blood sample was withdrawn from anticubital vein of each patient suffering from D.U.B at the same time ofD & C and control group we take 5 ml venus blood to measurement the serum estradiol, progesterone and prolactin levels by radioimmunassay. All product and reagents were supplied by Diagnostic Products Corporation Los Angles.
