Contrast Sensitivity before and after Laser in Situ Keratomileusis
Amre Abd-Eibari Hamed Hassan;
Abstract
Although the results of excimer laser refiactive surgical procedures, both pbotorefractive keratectomy and laser in situ keratomileusis, are satisfYing to most patients, optical sequelae such as diminished contrast sensitivity, glare, halo, and monocular diplopia remain troubling side effects in some. Such effects are generally noted in low light conditions and may affect night driving in some cases.
Surgical treatment of myopta with or without astigmatism is currently addressed successfully witl1 laser in situ keratomileusis surgery. Compared to previous refractive procedures.
