Abstract
The aim of the present work was to study the effects of some antibiotics namely Flavomycin and Enramycin and also the effects of two probiotics namely Bio-nutra and Dinaferm on the growth, feed conversion and mortality in Hubbard boiler chickens. Birds were divided into five equal groups, each of 50 chicks. One group received only basal ration (control) while the groups number (2) and (3) received ration supplemented with Flavomycin and Enramycin at dose of 120 gram/ton for each. The groups number (4) and (5) received ration supplemented with Bio-nutra and Dinaferm at a level of 1 kg/ton for each. Weights of birds and amount of ration they consumed were recorded weekly, also numbers
of dead birds were recorded.
At day 45 of experiment, weights of the birds were recorded then sacrificed after that weights of breast, breast meat and giblets (liver gizzard and heart) of each bird were recorded. Amount of feed consumed by birds were recorded and feed conversion was calculated for each group. It was found that Flavomycin produced the highest absolute final body weight, followed by Bio-nutra, while there was no significant differences between Enramycin, Dinaferm and control. It was also observed that Flavomycin and Dinaferm increased significantly the feed consumption while Enramycin and Bio-nutra did not increase significantly the feed consumption.
of dead birds were recorded.
