Abstract
our-in'g the last two decades it has become increasingly evident that the chromosomal abnormalities seen in hematological disorders can be quite helpful in establishing the correct diagnosis and also of prognostic importance•.
This study has been undertaken to study the chromosomal
abnormalities in different hematological disorders.
The study was done in the cytogenetic laboratory, Department of Pathology at Temple University Hospital,Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA. A total of 181 patients with different hematological disorders were recruited for this study during the period from May 1994 to December, 1995. Relevant clinical informations were obtained from the charts of those patients and c togenetic analysis v1as done for
different types of specimens including bone marrow, blood and tissues.
