STUDY OF SOME PROBLEMS ON THE FLOW OF ELECTRICALLY CONDUCTING FLUIDS AND ITS APPLICATIONS

Mona Abd Elhameed Ali Mohamed;

Abstract

We presented an introduction to the following topics: (I) Concept of fluids

(2) Properties of fluids

(3) Non-Newtonian fluids

(4) Porous medium (5) Hydromagnetics (6) Heat transfer
(7) Mass transfer

(8) Fluids with microstructure

(9) Survey on some works on the flow of electrically conducting fluids

In chapter II,

We discuss one problem in title:

The effect of couple stresses on a Magnetohydrodynamic flow of second order fluid through a .pm•ous medium on an inclined porous plane

In this work, we study the effect of couple stresses on a magnetohydrodynamic non-Newtonian flow through a porous medium on an inclined permeable wall. In our analysis we are taking into account the induced magnetic field and we are discussing the relation between different parameters of the problem and both the velocity of the fluid and the induced magnetic field. Using the perturbation technique subject to a set of appropriate boundary conditions and by using the mathematica program of version (2.2.3) we solved the system of differential equations
