Abstract
Bronchial asthma is a frequent cause of emergency wards visits and hc•spital admissions.
In Egypt, asthma is quite common and affects approximately
8.2% of children aged 3-15 years.
There are increasing rates of hospital admission for asthma. Asthma prevalence, morbidity and perhaps mortality are
actually rising.
