Measurement of the thermal properties: thermal activity, thermal diffusivity, volumetric heat capacity and thermal conductivity coefficients are of great importance for many practical applications, and also for pure scientific purposes. The specific heat is reLated to

Due to the lack of a complete theory of the liquid state, measurement of the physical properties in general, and thermal properties in particular, helps the understanding of the nature of the structure of matter
and the thermal motion iA. it.




In this measurement of
the AC-heated

work, an experimental set-up for the the mentioned thermal properties, using
wire technique waa constructed. In this


technique, a wire is illllll8rsed iA the investigated medium, and heated ·by an AC-current of a certain frequency. Measurement of the amplitude of the third harmonic signal enables one to simultaneously measure the mentioned four thermal properties.
