Abstract

Nowadays, in Egypt strawberry fruits are become one of the most favorable fruits. However, strawberry plants are suffering from the infection with many fungal diseases, especially fruit rots, which cause great reduction in the quantity and quality of
the fruits. Therefore, this work was planned to studying some trials of management fruit-rots, in addition to estimation of pesticides residue in the harvested fruits.

The obtained results could be summarized in the following points:

1- Isolation trials from naturally rotted strawberry fruits collected from different Governorates, i.e. grown fresh strawberry plantations yielded 708 fungal isolates belonging to more than 10 genera. The isolated fungi were purified and identified as: Alternaria tunisseina, Aspergillus niger, Botrytis cinerea, Cladosporium sp., Fusarium so/ani, Penicillium sp., Phytophthora cactorum, Rhizoctonia so/ani, Rhizopus nigricans and Trichoderma harzianum. The colleted fruits from Giza governorate yielded the highest fungal frequency followed by those from Behera, Sharkya and Ismailya governorates. On the other hand, the lowest
fungal frequency was isolated from rotted fruits collected
