HELICOBACTER PYLORI INFECTION IN EGYPTIAN CHILDREN WITH RECURRENT ABDOMINAL PAIN
Sohair Mohamed Zaki;
Abstract
Recurrent abdominal pam Is a common complaint in pediatric clinics.
Treatment of abdominal pain in a child is a difficult task due to variety of its
causes. It is important to try to identify the possible organic or non-organic
etiology (psychic or dysfunctional).
H. pylori infection has been associated with colonization in the gastric
mucosa and gastroduodenal diseases. Moreover, some authors suggested that H.
pylori may be a cause of RAP, however other Studies showed that this association
is controversial, hence, the aim of this study was to asses the role of H. pylori
infection in Egyptian children suffering from RAP.
