Endovascular surgery may be defined a3 a therapeutic discipline that uses point of entry into the vascular tree to transport devices fon:­ intraluminal imaging and for therapeutic intervention to open or widen occluded or stenotic channels in the vascular system remote from the site of entry .


Examples of these techniques include percutaneous transluminal Balloon angioplasty . and Intravascular stents .
