Abstract
1- Main aim:
Recycling of industrial waste became a must, particularly for African countries, not only because of the pollution which results from dumping it anywhere, but also because it contains valuable materials, which could be reused profitably. Recycling the solid waste produced during the manufacture of welding rods is a good example, which can be applied anywhere in the developing countries. One of the manufacturers of welding rods indicated to NMA that there are significant amounts of such waste, which contains about 40% rutile, and asked for the possibility of recycling this waste to recover the rutile. The present thesis gives the solution to this problem. A plan was set-up and executed in NMA, under the supervision of the chairman Prof Dr. Hamdy S. Sadek, as follows :
