Abstract
The present work was carreid out at the experimental fann of the
Department of animal Production, Faculty of Agriculture, Kafr El-Sheikh, Tanta University.
In this experiment, 12 growing Ralllllany lambs, about 20 to 23 Kg body weight and age about 4 mounths were taken from the fann of the Department of Animal Production• Faculty of Agric., Kafr El-Sheikh. They were divided randomly into three groups and fed the basal ration which was consisted of concentrate mixture (CM) and rice straw (RS). Two mineral mixtures were added to the ration of the experimental groups of lambs to cover their requirements according to
recommendations ofNRC (1981).
The feeding plan of the three experimental groups (CL, BL, AL)
used in this experiment was as follows:
1- Control group of lambs (CL): Basal ration.
2- Biomex b'Toup of lambs (BL): Basal ration+ 1% Biomex mixture (from
CM).
.. 3- Acrovit group of lambs (AL): Basal ration+ 0.1% Acrovit mixture
(from CM).
The effect of dietarv level of different mineral mixtures on performance of growing lambs was as follows:
1- Average daily live \veighr gain was 121.68, 96.10 and 107.149 while Average relative daiy gai::;. \vas 0.53, 0.42 and 0.52% for CL, BLand AL t=rroups, respectively. These results showed that the first and third
