Abstract
Aim of the Research : The Research aims to identify the Effect of Using A Suggested Unite for teaching History by using Mental maps to the Development of Visual Thinking Skills and Achievement Motivation for the first preparatory stage pupils.
Tools of the Research :
Teaching Tools:
- The Suggested unite “ The Egyptian Army “(prepared by the researcher)
- Teacher’s Guide According to Mental maps To Use in teaching the experimental group. (prepared by the researcher)
- Pupil’s Activities not book (prepared by the researcher)
Evaluative Tools :
- Visual Thinking Skills test . (prepared by the researcher)
- achievement motivation scale (prepared by the researcher)
Research Group: The researcher used the experimental method in this study, and selected sample (80) pupils from the first year preparatory Stage, distributed in to two group, the first one is experimental group (40)pupil,
and the other is control group (40)pupil.

Research Findings:
After implementing the study , the researcher found that There Were Statistically Significant differences at (0,01) level between the performance of the experimental group and control group in the post application of the Visual Thinking Skills test and- achievement motivation scale favoring the experimental group .
According to the result, Researcher recommended that the necessary of
teaching with mental maps as important strategy in education.
