Addiction of Use social Networking Site (Face Book) and its Relationship to Social Responsibility among a sample of Ain shams University students in The Light of Some demographic Variables

Abstract

The aim of this study was to identify the level of Addiction use social Networking Site ( Face Book) among a sample of Ain shams university students on a scale of Facebook Addiction and to identify differences in the level Addiction Face Book according to the demographic variables including( Age ,Gender). Identify the relationship between Addiction use social Networking Site ( Face Book) and Social Responsibility. The descriptive method was used in this study The sample of this study consisted of (310) from male and female students .The researcher used The Bergen Facebook Addiction Scale papered (Andreassen, Cecilie Schou. 2012). which translated and papered to Arabic environment by the researcher and Social Responsibility scale (prepared by the researcher). To get the results, the researcher used, frequencies, percentage, (t) test, Pearson correlation.The results of this study indicated that the level of Addiction Face Book among a sample of university student was (47.74%) medium and to revealed that there were not statistically significant differences among students in the level Addiction Facebook xcept Tolerance and total score due to age in favor of age 17-21 years, also revealed that there were not statistically significant differences among students in the level of Addiction Facebook due to gender. and the study findings showed there is significant negative correlation between Addiction use social Networking Site ( Face Book) and Social Responsibility among a sample of Ain shams university students
