Effect of Brisk Walking on Patient with Inappropriate Sinus Tachycardia and its Associated Symptoms

Abstract


Abstract: Aim of the study, was to evaluate the effect of practicing brisk walking exercise on patients with inappropriate sinus tachycardia and associated symptoms, A quasi experimental design was utilized, a purposive subject of 40 adult patients from Echocardiographic Unit affiliated to Coronary Care Unit, at Ain Shams University Hospital. using Tachycardia patient's questionnaire, Clinical assessment sheet for resting pulse rate and clinical signs and symptoms of tachycardia and Hamilton anxiety rating scale. The current study found that there is a significant reduction in mean resting pulse rate post brisk walking implementation and a statistically significant reduction in patients complains of associated signs and symptoms of tachycardia. The study recommended, further research to explore the idea of brisk walking. Adherence to exercise and decrease anxiety.
