Abstract
Abstract (Poster)
Empowerment is the process of enabling employees to set their own work-related goals, make decisions and solve problems within their spheres of responsibility and authority. More recent researches into empowerment and its consequences delineated empowerment into two distinct yet connected variables; structural and psychological empowerment, which has been described as the outcome of structural empowerment or the intervening variable between structural empowerment and nurse outcomes. High levels of structural empowerment have been related to increased perceptions of psychological empowerment which have been shown to impact job strain and job satisfaction. Hence Empowerment has many of benefits such as Improved productivity, Creativity and Innovation, customer focus, Faster decision making and organizational learning.
