Abstract


We consider the steady flow and heat transfer of a viscous incompressible fluid through a porous medium caused by stretching of a porous wall. The equations of motion and heat transfer equation are reduced to nonlinear ordinary differential equations, and exact solutions are obtained. The effects of various parameters entering into the problem on velocity field and temperature distribution are discussed with the help of graphs.
