Abstract


Semen has always been a subject of interest throughout history, in different cultures and religions. Scientific study started with the discovery of spermatozoa in 1677 by John Ham. Since this discovery, interest in the semen regarding its composition, physical and chemical characters, also, its fate within the female genital tract up to fertilization was increasing. But still, what we call ordinary semen analysis is the simplest and the most important as well as, the most common test done when a couple faces infertility.
