SYNTHESIS AND EVALUATION OF DIFFERENT TYPES OF SURFACE ACTIVE AGENTS CONTAINING HETEROCYCLIC MOIETY

Abstract


It includes the synthesis of fatty acids isothiocyanate (myristic, palmitic and stearic acids) (3a-c) by the reaction of the corresponding acid chloride (2a-c) with ammonium thiocyanate. Treatment the solution of isothiocyanate (3a-c) with phenyl hydrazine afforded 3-alkyl-2-phenyl-
1,2,4-triazolinyl-5-thione (4a-c). Reaction of isothiocyanate (3a-c) with glycine in presence of pyridine as a base produced 2-amidoalkyl-2-thiol-
1,3-oxazoline-5-one (Sa-c). Reaction of isothiocyanate (3a-c) with antlminilic acid produces the thiourea derivatives (6a-c). Which were cyclized to 3-alkanoyl-1 ,3-quinazolinc•2-thionc-4-one (7a-c) by acetic anhydride. Thiocarbamate derivatives (Sa-c) which were produced from the reaction of o-aminophenol with isothiocyanate (3a-c) and cyclized to
2-mnidoalkyl-1 ,3-benzoxazole (9a-c) by fusion. Treatment of isothio­

cyanate (3a-c) with thioglycollic acid afforded (lOa-c) which were cyclized by acetic anhydride to 3-alkanoyl-1 ,3-thiazolidire-2-thione-4- one (11a-c). Finally, when aniline condensed with isothiocyanate (3a-c) lead to formation of thiourea derivatives (12a-c).
