Mohamed Mohamed Ali Elsheikh;

Abstract

The stigma of mental illness continues to be widespread in the traditional developing communities and to a lesser extent in the developed western communities.
Our study summarizes “cohort-based investigation findings" on public and self-stigma towards depression as one of the most prevalent psychiatric disorders, among a sample of female patients from two different communities and highlights avenues for future research in this area.
