Abstract
Good communication IS the basis of good nursmg and proper teamwork. It is the core of all elements of management. The communication networks are established to channel the continual flow of information, because it is the mechanical and dynamic processes by which message are transferred from one nurse to another. Communication is a central part of nursing practice, it is important in the delivery of effective and appropriate nursing care. It seems evident that current nursing philosophy assumes that communication and negotiation are pivotal concepts to the provision of high quality nursing care.
Communication among health team members is vital to the quality of patient's care. Communication with nurses is accomplished through verbal and written messages. Verbal communication includes report on patient at the end of hospital shifts, sharing information and answering the patient's questions. While written messages entail recording patient's data in nursing records.
