Update in management of sexual development disorder

Abstract

Disorders of sex development (DSD), is a relatively new term in the medical nomenclature. It is a new term given to an old problem. A problem in which, the sex of the patient is not clear and debatable. The problem constitutes a medical emergency that is usually missed in our community leading to many complications and malpractices and even to the death of the patient. The nomenclature and classification of DSD is a dynamic process. It represents the social acceptance and the community understanding of this problem. The sensitivity of this matter makes it a difficult matter to handle away from the social activists.
