Evaluation of The Diagnostic and Therapeutic roles of Exosomes in Hepatocellular Carcinoma

Asmaa Mohamed AbdElGwad;

Abstract

epending on the fact that transcriptome (coding and noncoding RNAs) have been shown to be released from liver cells to the serum in a concentrated form inside exosomes. They may provide a novel class of noninvasive biomarkers for HCC diagnosis and prognosis as well as HCC therapeutic targets. We started our work to evaluate the efficiency of exosomal RAB11A-mRNA, miRNA-1262 and LncRNA-RP11513I15.6 as biomarkers for HCC patients and target these exosomal markers using pantoprazole in animal model.
Serum exosomal RAB11A-mRNA, miRNA-1262 and LncRNA-RP11513I15.6 levels in serum sample could be potentially useful biomarkers for early diagnosis and prediction of progression of HCC patients. Pantoprazol could have therapeutic benefits for HCC patients.
