Evaluation of The Diagnostic and Therapeutic roles of Exosomes in Hepatocellular Carcinoma

Abstract

epending on the fact that transcriptome (coding and noncoding RNAs) have been shown to be released from liver cells to the serum in a concentrated form inside exosomes. They may provide a novel class of noninvasive biomarkers for HCC diagnosis and prognosis as well as HCC therapeutic targets. We started our work to evaluate the efficiency of exosomal RAB11A-mRNA, miRNA-1262 and LncRNA-RP11513I15.6 as biomarkers for HCC patients and target these exosomal markers using pantoprazole in animal model. Serum exosomal RAB11A-mRNA, miRNA-1262 and LncRNA-RP11513I15.6 levels in serum sample could be potentially useful biomarkers for early diagnosis and prediction of progression of HCC patients. Pantoprazol could have therapeutic benefits for HCC patients.
