Abstract
Respiratory diseases in calves cause financial losses which are due to death culls depressed growth rates, cost of veterinary treatment and vaccines.
Many investigations were done to know the etiologic factors
of respiratory disorders and immune status of cattle-calves while there were few researches in buffalo calves due to their populations distributed in constricted area in the world
The present study was undertaken to investigate the immunological effect of buffalo pulmonary surfactant and to
discuss its relationship with the macrophage and microorganisms

pneumonia.
