Abstract
Change has continuously helped man to adapt to environment changes as
well as achieve more needs and goals. Nowadays we are part of the fourth
industrial revolution; industry 4.0 which highlights the dawn of the cyber
physical systems era. Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) play an important
role in this revolution. Both intelligent infrastructure as well as
intelligent vehicles are dimensions of this ITS technology.
Autonomous Vehicles (AVs) have widely expanded over the last decade
and is expected to become part of the community by 2030. Several research
institutes as well as industrial parties are racing towards the development
of the first fully AV. Different efforts are exerted in the various
