Immunohistochemical Expression of OCT4 and N-cadherin In Common Salivary Gland Tumors
Najah Mohammed Abraheem Aghweelah;
Abstract
Salivary gland tumors have relative rare incidence and diverse morphology between different tumor types and sometimes within an individual tumor type make diagnosis difficult, so, there is a need for reliable markers for diagnosis and prediction of prognosis of these tumors.
Octamer-binding transcription factor-4 is a transcription factor, which is an essential factor controlling early stages of embryogenesis. Several studies indicate that OCT4 expression was associated closely with tumor metastasis and poor prognosis in various human malignances.
